You’ve heard the message “The Church – Communion” at the Mid-High gathering. Now here’s what you can do with it the other 6 days of the week:
Monday – Read Matthew 26:26-28. What did Jesus do before he broke the bread? How does this enhance the crucifixion story for you?
Tuesday – Read Mark 14:22-24. The “blood of the covenant” means Jesus gave it, we receive it. We no longer have to make sacrifices for forgiveness!
Wednesday – Read Luke 22:19-20. According to this, what’s one of the primary reasons we take Communion?
Thursday – Read 1 Corinthians 10:16-17. What does it mean to “participate” in the body and blood of Christ?
Friday – Read 1 Corinthians 11:24-26. When we take Communion, do we look to the past, the future, or both? Why?
Saturday – Read John 6:53-54. Does this sound gross to you? Read v. 66. This sacrament is a hard one.
